Willa K. Rogers Hawke was born in Winfield, Kansas, on January 27, 1936. She passed away on August 2, 2024, at the age of 88.
Willa lived her early childhood in Kansas, until her family moved to Edmond, Oklahoma, where she completed high school. She retired from numerous Civil Service administrative positions.
Willa was a Cat Fanciers Association Judge for over 50 years and founded the Oklahoma City Cat Club in 1967. She traveled to numerous countries and almost every state in the United States. She loved cats and had some prize-winning cats over the years.
Willa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Hawke; daughter, Carole Rogers; son, Donnie Rogers; stepson, Scott Hawke; and her first husband, Charles Rogers, the father of her children.
Willa is survived by her son, Chuck Rogers of Tryon, Oklahoma; son, Carson Rogers and wife, Donna, of Oklahoma City; her daughter, Candice Rogers of Oklahoma City; stepdaughter, Debbie Balderas and husband, Richard, of Lake Kiowa, Texas. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Willa will be missed by her family, friends, and her cat family.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
