Wanda Jean Rolen

Wanda Jean Rolen, 82, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023.  Wanda was born on January 12, 1941, in Carnegie, Oklahoma, to William (Bill) Donaho and Vivian (Claypool) Donaho.

Wanda went to school in Lindsey, Oklahoma, through the 11^th grade and married Gorden Douglas Rolen on September 18, 1957.  She lived in Norman, Oklahoma, most of her adult life before moving to Sulphur, Oklahoma.  She started working at a young age and worked several different jobs throughout her life to include:  JCPenney in Oklahoma City, Eisenhower Elementary School in Norman, and Marriott Postal Center in Norman.  She was a good provider for the home and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Vivian Donaho; husband, Gorden Rolen; sons, Tony and Billy Rolen; brother, Kenneth Donaho; sister, Evelyn Manno; and many other family members.

Wanda is survived by her brother, Gary Donaho and wife, Karen; daughter, Tammy Hayes and husband, John; son, Bobby Rolen and wife, Mechele Briggs; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love and prayers during this difficult time and thank all those who helped care for Wanda in various ways through the years.  They also thank the staff of Callaway Nursing Home for the care and love they gave to Wanda.  A special thank you goes to Gayla Jennings and many other caregivers who loved her.
