Tawnya Sue George, affectionately known as Tawntawns, passed away on July 22, 2024, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Born on October 17, 1974, in Morenci, Arizona, she was a beacon of joy and a pillar of support to all who knew her. 

Tawnya's life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family. Her husband Moyse Dwayne Duncan, and their children, Aunisty Sky Patten George (Aaron Karl Benham), Journey Page George, Moyse Daryan Duncan, and Maddix Dylon George, were the center of her world. She was also a cherished grandmother to Clara Dianne Birmingham.

She is survived by her father, Bonnis Eugene George Jr.; her sister, Shonna Lynn Wright, her husband Michael Aldon Wright, and their daughters, Brittany Nicole Frank (Christopher Donald Myron Frank) and Sarah Ashley Brook (Joel Stephen Brook), along with her 2nd niece and nephew Ariah Jolynn Nicole Frank and Baker Myron Frank. Her sister Amy Louann George and spouse Kailynn Garret also survive her.

Tawnya was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Bonnis Eugene George Sr. and Geraldine Liddle; her maternal grandparents Tommy Lee Arnold Sr. and Virginia Norman; her mother Lynda Dianne George; her uncle, Tommy Lee Arnold Jr.; and her aunt, Vicky Edwards. 

Known for her radiant smile and generous spirit, Tawnya found joy in camping, cooking, and spending quality time with her loved ones. She was a beacon of positivity, always ready to lift spirits and offer a helping hand.

Memorial services will be held at C3 Cross Connections Church, located at 329 N Pesotum Ave, Shawnee, OK. The exact time and date of the service will be announced later. Tawnya's life and legacy will be celebrated, remembering her as the loving soul she was, whose greatest achievements were her family and the love she fostered among them.
