Susie Elaine Early, 66 years old, of Oklahoma City passed away comfortably on January 23, 2025, after a valiant fight with cancer. Born March 10, 1958, in Oklahoma City, Susie lived a life full of love, laughter, and endless generosity.
Susie was cherished by many for her infectious smile, endearing laugh, youthful spirit, larger than life heart, and deep dedication to her family and friends. Early in adult life, Susie left a lasting impression on numerous young hearts with her many years of teaching. She later moved on to a career in hospitality where she gained extended family and lifelong friends in the hotel industry.
Susie is survived by her beloved sons, Michael Alan Early and Daniel Lee Early; daughters-in-law, Crystal (Patterson) Early and Andi (Owings) Early; seven grandchildren: Kaitlyn “Katie” Gelineau, Pheanix Early, Ashlyn Early, Lucas Owings, Blake Early, Rex Owings, and Brooklyn Early. She also leaves behind her adored stepchildren: Rocky Early, Karen Farmer, their spouses, children and grandchildren.
Susie was predeceased by her cherished parents, William Lee Edwards and Belva Mae Ballinger; stepson, PJ Early; as well as her husband and soulmate, PM “Pete” Early, to whom she was deeply devoted and anxious to embrace once more.
At Susie’s request, there will not be a formal funeral or memorial, but a celebration of life to honor her spirit and memories will be held on February 8, 2025, from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Grand Casino Hotel & Resort in the “Deer” room of the conference center in Shawnee, OK. Cards and flowers can be sent to the Early family at: 122 Tracye Dr. in Mcloud, OK, and will be displayed at the celebration. You can also send flowers to the funeral home, AE Funeral Services, by 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all friends and family for their exceptional care and support during Susie’s final days. Her life was full of many blessings and infinite laughter and her memory will continue to guide us. She is deeply loved and will be eternally missed.
