Shirley Ann (Galbreath) Thompson, age 88, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on July 8, 2024. She was born in Tracy, Minnesota, on August 16, 1935, to Willard Francis Galbreath and Mabel (Gleason) Galbreath.

In 1951, Shirley met her future husband, Kenneth F. Thompson. She loved to knit and crochet, and she taught her skills in classes at Sears in the 1960’s. She continued to teach her skills in the Adult Education Program through the Shawnee Public Schools until the late 1970’s. Shirley’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life. She loved to serve others and, above all, she loved the Lord.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth; sister, Evelyn of Jacksonville, Florida, and twin sister, Sharron Botsford, of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Kenneth Thompson, Jr. and Michael Thompson; daughter, Elizabeth Thompson; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother, Willard Galbreath of Manassas, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Shirley's family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the personnel of Cohesive Home Health and Hospice for the loving care given to their Mom.  They were indeed true Angels.
