Shirley Georgetta Sandstrom

Shirley Georgetta Sandstrom, age 69, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on March 8, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 15, 1955, to Dorothy and Emil Sandstrom in Peoria, Illinois.

Shirley worked for various companies: Mobile, Alan Bradley, and TDK; and for a short time, she was a delivery driver for a food vending machine company. She also worked in home health for many years, caring for others. She even had a bird farm for several years raising and selling animals.

Shirley received her greatest joy from spending time with her family. She loved to be outdoors—fishing, camping, and growing roses. She enjoyed talking to people about Jesus and having Bible discussions. Her family will remember her the most for the adventures she would get them involved in. There was never a dull moment when she was around because she always had a way of making every situation interesting.

Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Emil and Dorothy Sandstrom; son, Roger Moutaw; sister, Helen Simpson; and brothers, Roger Sandstrom, Michael Sandstrom, and Johnny Simpson.

Shirley is survived by her children: Jesse Moutaw, Tammy and Casey Sanders, and Matthew Moutaw; grandchildren: Rachell, Briana, Rebecca, Brittany, Zack, Chelsea, Isaac, Shelby, Jessica, Hanna, and Hunter; 18 great grandchildren; sister, Victoria Holland; brothers, James Simpson, Allen Simpson, and Dennis Simpson; other family members and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, 10:00 a.m., at the CPN North Reunion Hall, 1702 Gordon Cooper Dr., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801.
