Russell Dale Grubbs, 55, of Macomb, Oklahoma, passed away on March 17, 2025. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on December 14, 1969, to Royce Dale Grubbs and Betty Doris (Turner) Grubbs.
Russell lived in Pottawatomie County his entire life except during his military service. He served in the United States Army from 1989 through 1993 attaining the rank of Private 1st Class. After his military service, he worked in numerous industries including road construction, water works, and other industrial settings.
Russell married Karla Garretson Mallory on June 11, 2013, at the Pottawatomie County Courthouse. Though the years he participated in various community activities: coaching youth baseball and wrestling, being president of the Wanette Flag Day committee, playing Santa for the City of Wanette, and being active in numerous local dart leagues. His home church was Victory Pointe Baptist Church in Wanette.
Russell enjoyed watching his hummingbirds and cardinals, playing a game of darts, or watching ANYTHING OU—the Broncos—and NASCAR. He loved his fur babies, Toto and KK, but his passion was for his “kids” – all 800 of them!
Russell was preceded in death by his father, Royce Grubbs; brother, Preston Grubbs; sister, Tina Coleman; maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents; parents-in-law, Frank and Barbara Garretson; nephew, Bradley; infant grandson, Franklin; sister-in-law, Virginia Edwards.
Russell is survived by his wife, Karla, of the home; children: Tyler Grubbs; John Mallory, wife Shelbey, and children: Aiden, Loretta, Avery and Aerial; Joshua Mallory, wife Chaney, and children, Camryn and Justin; Krystil Stafford, husband Lucas, and children: Kingston, Karson, Koda, Hadley and Azaria; Charles Hamilton, wife Joeanna, and children: Dixye, Mason, and Remington.
Other surviving loved ones are his mother, Betty Ingram; aunts: Dee Hathaway, Donna Cotney, Sherril Delung, and Patricia Slaughter; siblings: Jennifer and Bill St. Clair—Bo Scott (Josh) and children; Toni Grubbs—Brandon Grubbs and Rickey Grubbs; Clayton and Jana Grubbs—Jordan Grubbs, Lindie Murillo (Michael) and children, Tom Hinds (Chelsea) and children; sister-in-law, Robin and Kenny Waldroupe—Justin (Serina) and children, Jacob, Levi (Camille) and children, Mercedes, Logan, Seth; brother-in-law, Benjamin Edwards—Robert (Rebecca), Richard, Lisa Harvey (Joe) and children, Cheyanna Schlottman and children, Rylie Byrd (Logan) and children, Darrell, Zoey, and MaKayla; special friends—Karen DeArmond and children, John Hindman, Jody Palaoro and Olivia, Lisa Westervelt, Lucas and Lily Whitaker, “Mississippi kids”—Michael, Jen, Lynn, Rolan and their children.
