Ronald Cochran

Ronald Eugene Cochran, 60, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023, after a battle with cancer.  He was born on December 27, 1962, with his identical twin, Randy, in Pasadena, Texas.  His parents were Norl D. Cochran and Doris (Hamilton) Cochran.
In 1983 Ron met the love of his life, Betty.  They married on August 31, 1984, and shared their lives with five daughters—Shawna, Melissa, Charity, Ashley, and Rhonda.  He joined the Air National Guard in 1987 and served in Desert Storm/Desert Shield.  He loved his country and was proof that not all soldiers die on the battlefield!
Ron was predeceased by his father, Norl.
Ron is survived by his wife, Betty, of the home; his mother, Doris; sisters, Kathy and Lori; brothers, Doug and Randy; his five daughters; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, 10:00 am, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 501 N. Broadway Ave., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801.
An inurnment service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, 2:30 pm, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, 1423 Cemetery Rd., Fort Gibson, Oklahoma 74434.
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, remembrances be made in the form of donations to the Emmanuel Episcopal Porch House.
