Michael "Mike" Ray Watson

Michael “Mike” Ray Watson, age 66, of McLoud, Oklahoma, passed away June 4, 2024.  He was born December 20, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Curtis Ray Watson and Norma Z. (Dibler) Watson.

Mike worked in restaurant management at Curtis Watson’s Restaurant in McLoud for 46 years.  He received Christ in his life and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  He loved to sing and play guitar.  In fact, he taught himself to play the guitar.  He could listen to a song and learn to play it by memory.  He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, and riding motorcycles.

Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother, Norma Watson.

Mike is survived by his father, Curtis Watson; brother, Ron Watson and wife, Leah; sister, Melinda Little; numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Monday, June 10, 2024, noon – 7:00 pm, at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2024, 2:00 pm, at Sharon Baptist Church, 19002 S. Gordon Cooper Dr., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1400 N. Center Ave., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801.
