Jaynell Diane Morris

Jaynell Diane Morris, having bravely battled a rare Parkinsonian disease, was taken from this life by the Lord to join her parents, Gloria and Oscar Moyer, as well as her beloved dogs, Princess, Smoky, and Koda, in their heavenly home on March 24, 2025. She was 68 years old and passed peacefully away in her son and daughter-in-law’s home in Weleetka, Oklahoma.

She is survived by her only son, Nathaniel Morris.

Jaynell devoted her life to God and her Church. Born in Miami, Florida, she met her husband, Doug Morris, while attending college there, later moving to Texas and welcoming their son to the world. Though the relationship eventually ended, they remained friends and partners in raising Nathaniel—as a mother, her priority was always to ensure that her child understood empathy, grace, kindness, and to raise him to be someone who could inspire others through humility and living a spiritual life.

In addition to time spent in Missouri and Kansas, she settled back in Fort Worth, Texas, for many years and built a wonderful community of friends in North Fort Worth Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and always devoted her life to His service no matter where her circumstances found her. Jaynell also had a creative soul and spent a lot of time doing beadwork and making beautiful jewelry for friends and family members.

Since Jaynell knew so many people across so many states, the family encourages anyone to hold service as they wish in whatever way is the most meaningful to them in remembrance of her generous, kind spirit.

Do not cry because she is gone, cry out in joy because she is free and where she most wanted to be, at the feet of God in the Lord’s heavenly realm.

1 Corinthians 15:35-58
