Icie Mae Winters

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Icie Mae Winters, a cherished soul who graced our lives from the town of Meeker, Oklahoma. Born on February 27, 1942, Icie's journey began in a world that would come to know her love for life, her passion for creativity, and her unwavering spirit.

Icie departed this earthly realm peacefully on March 24, 2025, leaving behind a tapestry of memories woven with threads of joy and laughter. A devoted homemaker, she crafted a sanctuary filled with warmth, love, and the soft glow of her creativity. A published poet, her words danced across the pages, capturing the essence of life’s fleeting moments. She not only wove yarn into beautiful creations through her passion for crocheting but also spun the tales of her heart.

In the late 1980s, Icie found love in the arms of George Winters, sharing a bond that flourished in the beauty of companionship. Together, they embraced life’s adventures, their hearts forever entwined. Icie's vibrant spirit was matched by her love for dancing, where she twirled with grace and joy, embodying the rhythm of life. With pride, she completed her concealed carry course, exhibiting her determination and strength.

As we gather to celebrate her remarkable life, Icie will be honored with a funeral service at the Living Love Christian Center on March 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM, where family and friends will come together to share in their love and remembrance. She will be laid to rest on March 31, 2025, at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker, Oklahoma, a place she called home.

She leaves behind her beloved sister-in-law, Kitty Spurgin, and her dear brother, Dale Dean Spurgin and wife, Kay, along with countless family and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and creativity.

In our hearts, Icie Mae Winters will forever dance, her laughter echoing through the memories we hold dear.
