Gordon Wayne Baldwin passed from this life on August 8, 2022, at his home in Weleetka, Oklahoma, with his wife and family by his side. Gordon was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma, on November 13, 1948, to Henry Curtis Baldwin and Bernice (Choate) Baldwin.
Gordon and Mary Jean Francis were married October 27, 1967, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and were blessed with 54 years together. He put on Christ through baptism in Yuma, Arizona as a young adult. While honorably serving his country in the United States Marine Corp., Gordon was a jet engine mechanic and was very proud of his service to his country. After his military service he started his career in law enforcement as a police officer. He always enjoyed serving his community in this role.
After being taught by the grandkids, Gordon developed a passion for playing video games--with his favorites being “Walking Dead”, “Dead Man’s Island” and “Resident Evil”. He loved collecting guns and shopping online at the “Wish” website. In addition, he enjoyed the outdoors and occasionally dropping a fishing hook in the water. His most cherished memories were the times spent with his family and friends.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margaret Winn; grandson, Rodney Lynn and great granddaughter, Henslee Grace Quick.
Surviving loved ones are his wife, Mary; daughter, Angelique Lynn and husband, Randy; daughter, Danielle Deere and husband, Rob; daughter, Sharita Johnson and husband, Danny; daughter, Carolyn Peavler and husband, Chris; son, Robert “Jason” Baldwin and wife, Sherry; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; numerous other family members and a host of friends.
