Ethan Scott Troxel

Ethan Troxel, 24, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2024. Born on May 1, 2000, Ethan was the beloved son of Don and LeeAnn Troxel. His life was filled with joy, talent, and deep connections with those around him.

Ethan’s educational journey took him to various schools, where he made numerous friends and left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Known for his extraordinary ability to make everyone feel like his best friend, Ethan never met a stranger. His warmth and kindness were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A gifted musician, Ethan’s talent for singing karaoke and playing the guitar captivated those around him. Yet, it was his enormous heart that truly defined him. Ethan loved fiercely and deeply, always willing to lend a helping hand or give the shoes off his feet to someone in need.

Ethan was the life of the party, always bringing energy, laughter, and a touch of silliness to every gathering. His playful spirit and sense of humor could light up any room, making even the simplest moments memorable and fun.

Among the many blessings in Ethan’s life were his cherished children, Kingston, Jude, and Lennox. He adored his babies and loved them with all his heart.

Tragically, Ethan’s life was cut short as he could no longer face the challenges of his mental illness. His struggle reminds us of the importance of mental health awareness and the need for compassion and support for those who suffer in silence.

Ethan is survived by his father, Don Troxel, and his wife, Christine; his mother, LeeAnn Troxel; his brothers, Joseph Oxford-Troxel, Tyler Dean, and Eli Troxel; his step-siblings, Sarah Rowland and her husband, Jake, and Duncan Hoffman and his partner, Marie Duello; and Ethan’s paternal grandmother, Lorita Kay Gilbert. He also leaves behind his sons: Kingston Troxel and his mom, Ciara; and Jude and Lennox, and their mom, Heather.

Ethan Troxel’s spirit, generosity, and boundless love will be remembered and missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, joy, and his ability to bring laughter to others will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Red Rock Behavioral Health Services in Ethan’s honor to help others facing similar battles.
