Curtis Lane Davis

Beloved husband, father, granddad, and friend, Curtis Lane Davis, 66, of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed away on March 4, 2025, after a 2 year battle with cancer. 

Curt was born on September 18, 1958, in Dallas, Texas. He spent his childhood in Beaumont, Texas and Salina, Kansas before moving to Oklahoma City and graduating from Northwest Classen High School at the age of 16.

He was working as an electronic technician when he met the love of his life, Carolynn Reynolds, on a blind date on July 4, 1977. They were married on June 3, 1978, and went on to have 3 girls. He spent his career largely in electronic engineering, moving from Oklahoma to Michigan and then to North Carolina before settling in Hillsboro, Oregon for 24 years.

In 2020, Curt and Carolynn relocated to Mustang, Oklahoma to care for Carolynn’s aging parents. Curt got a job as an electronic technician in the same building, but a different company, where he started his career all those years ago. After leaving his job due to his diagnosis, Curt enjoyed woodworking and traveling to Texas to watch his grandkids’ sports and performances, and to spend time with his family. Curt also enjoyed serving his church family and was a faithful follower of Christ from the time he became a Christian in 1978, serving many years as a deacon and an elder in the church.

Curt was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Beverly Davis, and father-in- law, Wayne Reynolds.

Curt leaves behind his beloved wife, Carolynn; his children, Carrie and Chris Willis of Wylie, Texas, Jamie and David Baldwin of Wylie, Texas, and Lindsay and Craig Foster of Murphy, Texas; grandchildren Caleb, Anna and Benjamin Willis; Amelia, Carter, and Drew Baldwin; Kate, Lainey, Ryan, and Callie Foster; his sister Sharon Hoyt; his mother-in-law, Catherine Reynolds.

A celebration of Curt’s life will be held, 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Mustang Town Center 1201 N. Mustang Road, Mustang, Oklahoma 73064. The family has requested any donations be made to the Stephenson Cancer Center in consideration of flowers.
