Barbara Ann Wallis Caskey Siebert Ross, age 88, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, went into the arms of her Maker on February 3, 2025. Barbara was born on December 4, 1936, to Everett and Gladys Wallis in Shawnee, Oklahoma. After graduating from Prairie Valley High School, she began her career at Keller’s Feed Store. In 1960, she married Bill Caskey, and together they had two children, Bryan and Brenda. Later, in 1978, she married Bill Siebert, whom she eventually lost to cancer. In 1984, Barbara and Jeep Ross were married.
Throughout her life, Barbara worked in various fields, including as an insurance clerk at National Life Insurance. She also enjoyed a more social role as a cocktail waitress and worked alongside Jeep in make-ready apartment complexes.
Barbara had a deep love for music and was gifted at playing the piano by ear, as well as the guitar. She enjoyed singing and dancing, and was an avid bowler, participating in several leagues over the years. She also had a passion for games—whether it was visiting the casino, playing Phase 10, solving crossword puzzles, or enjoying poker and Yahtzee with loved ones. One of her favorite places was the family cabin at Pine Creek, where she and Jeep spent many nights fishing on the bridge with their dog, Pitiful. She cherished time at the lake with her children and grandchildren, creating lifelong memories.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Everett Wallis; her brother, Ronnie Wallis; her husbands, Bill Siebert, Bill Caskey, and Jeep Ross. She is survived by her brother, Jim Wallis of OKC; her sister, Judy Jones (Chris) of Shawnee; her daughter, Brenda Murray (George) of Shawnee; her son, Bryan Caskey (Virginia) of Shawnee; her grandchildren: Emilie Williamson (Chris) of Ft. Worth, Buckey Maston (Ashley) of Shawnee, Garrett Caskey (Sarah) of Ft. Walton Beach, Camron Maston (Shelby) of Chandler; and her many great-grandchildren, including Joshua, Jacob, Lana, and McKenzie Williamson of Ft. Worth; Bailey Maston of Shawnee; Dayton and Berkeley Maston of Chandler; and Brittany McGuire (Robby) of Hinesville. She was also blessed with great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 9, 2025, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., at the Grand Casino Hotel and Resort, Deer Room, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804
