Angela Ellona Younger

Angela Ellona Younger, 68, of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away on October 29, 2024. She was born in Madill, Oklahoma, on January 4, 1956, to Arnold D. Perkins and Evangeline (Craddock) Smith. Later, Evangeline married M.B. “Smitty” Smith who became Angela’s special daddy.

After graduating from Konawa High School in 1974, Angela studied pre-med at Saint Gregory’s University in Shawnee and graduated in 1976. Then she went to Shawnee Beauty School and worked as a beautician for a short time. She also worked in retail sales for both JCPenney and Anthony’s before ultimately deciding to be a stay-at-home mother.

In January of 1975 she met Dale Younger, and they were wed in February of 1976. They were blessed with three children, Emily, Kyle, and Aaron, 12 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Angela enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, crocheting, traveling with her husband, Dale, and teaching her grandchildren how to grow up and be good young adults. She took every opportunity to share the love of Jesus with them. She was a charter member of Northridge Church of Christ and a faithful member of Mission Road Church of Christ for over four years.

Angela was predeceased by her parents, M.B. and Evangeline Smith; special grandmother, Lona Craddock; father-in-law, Emil Younger; mother-in-law, Anna Younger; and special sister-in-law, Betty Younger.

Angela is survived by her loving husband, Dale; three children and their families; two sisters and their families; two brothers and their families; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Monday, November 4, 2024, noon to 7:00 p.m., at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024, 2:00 p.m., at Mission Road Church of Christ, 37401 Westech Rd., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804. Interment will follow at Rossville Cemetery in Meeker, Oklahoma.
